This projects aims to build a small 40W CNC laser using makerslide
|
There is a need for a small and versatile CNC laser cutter/engraver at the Lab:
- Cutting small wood / acrylic parts.
- Engaving aluminium parts.
- PCB prototyping.
The devices should not require too much space and should be cheap, around 1000 EUR maximum.
While searching the Internet, I found this small 40W CO2 laser device inspired by Buildlog.net, using famous makerslide and arduino.
This laser seems to be a derivate from Shapeoko CNC.
If some members are interested, we can discuss building this Buildlog.net device shortly.
