This projects aims to build a small 40W CNC laser cutter / engraver
|
This project aims to build a small laser CNC at the lowest possible cost in order to learn how to build a laser.
There is a need for a small and versatile CNC laser cutter/engraver:
- Cutting small wood / acrylic parts.
- Engaving aluminium parts.
The devices should not require too much space and should be cheap, around 1000 EUR maximum.
Buildlog.net laser
While searching the Internet, I found this small 40W CO2 laser device inspired by Buildlog.net, using famous makerslide/openrail and arduino.
Follow these links for a complete description:
This laser seems to be a derivate from Shapeoko CNC.
Shape and structure
The structure could be made of Openrail or Makerslide.
